SMBC volunteers hit the trail after a morning of classroom training to do a re-route on Slim Shady Trail. RRRD planned the re-route some time back with input from Phil Kincheloe a SMBC board member and Bike and Bean owner Jim Monahan who also serves on the SMBC board. The trail moved off the top of a fall line to a contour section along a small canyon. This will ensure that the trail is sustainable and enjoyable for years to come. The best part was more ride features are now including in the section, including a nice drop jump and several technical climbs. The IMBA trail crew rates the trail overall as a black diamond ride experience. The new section maintains and enhances that character. Test riders immediately reported a flowing and fun experience for advanced riders. Slim-Shady is a user built trail that is in the adoption process by the Coconino National Forest.
